Pro’s and Con’s of Solar Energy

When you think about solar power systems, you may think of those funky looking houses that have those weird looking panels on them. solar power systems has many uses beyond those of producing electricity for houses or for cars. The advantages and disadvantages of solar power are many, small electrical units can be powered by solar energy in lieu of a battery unit or any outlet plug-in. units such as cell phones, GPS units, and laptops can be solar power systemsed. The biggest disadvantage is that they only produce energy when they are in direct sunlight.

Here are some more advantages and disadvantages of solar power. You can adjust and customize your solar panels and battery device to collect any amount of energy you wish up to the threshold. After the threshold, or when the battery device is full, the solar energy is just being reflected from the solar panels. The battery should be compatible with the device you want to use it for. How many times have you been out fishing or camping and your handset battery device goes out? Most people carry handset adapters for their cars so that they may recharge the battery device in their automobile. This is fine if the engine is on or the engine has been used to charge the battery device in the motorcar. But running the engine is a cause of pollutants and other toxic materials which you are releasing out into the environment just by charging up your handset.

By having a handset solar powered battery charger, you are able to take your handset outside and leave the solar cells out in the direct sun. You can even do this inside on a windowsill that is directly influenced by the direct sun. You don’t have to worry about where to plug in your charger, you just have to worry about where the direct sun is and how long the solar cell needs to stay out to charge a battery device. It is convenient and easy-to-use, in spite of the fact that it is a little expensive.

As electronic components advances and the demand for solar powered instruments increases, prices should go down and the electronic components should be accelerated. Right now only 1% of all homes in the America are powered by solar energy. If we think outside the box and go beyond the household there is an entire world of contraptions that can be powered by the sun. All it takes is a little imagination and a little investigation and someday soon we will be out of the grips of fossil fuels and nonrenewable energy. There are plenty of advantages and disadvantages of solar power but the advantages are far out weighing the disadvantages and as electronic components moves forward, this gap will only get larger.
